Fitness is defined as “the quality of being suitable to fulfill a particular role or task,” and for volleyball players that can take many shapes. We all want to be in tip top shape for our playing season, but overall physical and emotional health and wellness should be important to all of us as well.
Although we are currently in the middle of the women’s indoor season, there are lots of men out there who are in their offseason that are trying to stay in shape, and lots of players in general who are trying to stay on top of their game all year long. For that task we bring you a solid sand training routine, which is suitable for players of all levels. And don’t worry if you aren’t a beach player, sand can add a different—and more difficult—element to your workouts. Also included in this fitness program are tips to help you change your mind about ingesting fats, ideas for meals, and a Q&A session with a health and wellness doctor. Read on and stay fit!
