Even the youngest Team USA fans are getting excited for the Olympics. With the release of Pampers’ limited edition “USA” diapers and wipes in April, babies and toddlers are able to show their national pride, as well as benefit from the same strong grip and stretchy sides that are always features of Pampers Cruisers. The spirited diapers feature stars and stripes decoration as well as a red “USA” on the front and back. The wipes are packed in festive red, white, and blue.
Kerri Walsh, mother of two boys Joseph and Sundance, has partnered with the brand to promote their “USA” diapers. She says she knows how active young babies are, and sees the similarities between their daily antics and the training that she goes through as a professional athlete. One study cited by Pampers even declares that in a single day a cruising baby can take as many steps as a marathoner does to complete a race. The Olympic themed products were designed to honor the determination and drive present in both curious babies and elite athletes.
As a part of parent company Proctor and Gamble’s partnership with the 2012 Olympics, Pampers will be providing athlete parents who are bringing their children to the games with a supply of “USA” diapers and wipes. In addition, the Pampers Facebook page offers the chance for those of us who didn’t qualify for the games to win a trip to London, families invited, as spectators. Other prizes in the sweepstakes include a month’s supply of the “USA” diapers and wipes. The “USA” products will be available in stores through the end of the Olympics (Aug. 12).
