The skinny: Suburban Milwaukee squad won Junior Nationals with a 10-1 mark. Trevor Novotny was named MVP of the tournament. Peter Hutz, Nick Olson, and Adam Kessenich were all-tournament picks.

2. SCVC 18 Quiksilver


The skinny: Bill Ferguson-coached team lost to West Allis in Junior Nationals final. Also won Junior Boys Classic title. Chris Orenic, Alex Stephanus, and Michael Mullahey were all-tournament picks.

3. MVVC Red 18-1


The skinny: Went 9-2 at Junior Nationals (finishing third) and also won the Far Westerns championship. Devin Stearns and James Shaw picked up all-tournament honors.

4. The HBC 18 Tyler


The skinny: In addition to a fourth-place Junior Nationals finish, also finished in the top four at the Junior Boys Invitational and the Holiday Classic. Matt Butler and Zachary Gates were all-tournament picks.

5. Ultimate B18 Gold


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals and also won the Wisconsin Boys Festival and took second at the Junior Boys Classic. Martin Ross was an all-tournament pick.

6. Sports Performance B18 Mizuno


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals, going 8-1. Also placed second at the Wisconsin Boys Festival. Thomas Jaeschke earned all-tournament honors.

7. Balboa Bay 18 Hurley


The skinny: Went 6-3 and tied for fifth at Junior Nationals. Won the Holiday Classic and took third at the Junior Boys Invitational. Mitch Vallis was an all-tournament selection.

8. Pace Bootlegger 18s


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals. Won the Nittany Lion Invitational and took second at the Rochester Can-Am. Steve O’Dell was an all-tournament pick.

9. Manhattan Beach Surf 18s


The skinny: Went 7-3 in Dallas. Also finished second at the Holiday Classic.

10. Legacy 18-1


The skinny: Ended up tenth at Junior Nationals with a 6-4 record.

1. SCVC 17 Quiksilver


The skinny: Ran the table at Junior Nationals with a perfect 11-0 record (22-2 in sets). Cole Fiers was named the tournament MVP. Scott Stephanoff, Riley Mallon, and Andy Benesh were all-tournament picks.

2. Balboa Bay 17 Hurley


The skinny: Tucker Pikula, Kevin Rakestraw, and Jacob Arnitt earned all-tournament honors for 17 Open runner-up squad.

3. 949 17 Black


The skinny: 949 came back from Dallas with a 9-3 record and a third-place finish. John Yoder and Christian Hessenauer were all-tournament picks.

4. MB Surf 17s


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals where it went 7-2. Also won the Junior Boys Invitational and took third in the Boys Classic. Casey White was an all-tournament selection in Dallas.

5. High Performance St. Louis B17 Gold


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals and also finished third in the Boys’ Classic and won the Gateway and Great Lakes bid tournaments. Kyle Foley was an all-tournament selection.

6. Ultimate 17 Gold


The skinny: Took fourth in Dallas (7-6 record), and also placed second at Great Lakes and third at the Wisconsin Boys’ Festival. Mitchell Wieler and Nicholas Bendell were all-tournament picks at Junior Nationals.

7. Adversity 17 Purple


The skinny: In addition to winning the Wisconsin Boys’ Festival and placing second at Gateway, Adversity tied for fifth at Junior Nationals. Aaron Zalewski was an all-tournament pick.

8. SMBC 17 Black


The skinny: Went 6-3 and tied for fifth at Junior Nationals. Soren Dion-Kindem was named to the all-tournament team.

9. Pali 17 Quicksilver


The skinny: Pali placed third at the Junior Boys’ Invitational and was ninth at Junior Nationals.

10. Shorebreak 17 Quiksilver


The skinny: The Far Westerns champions went 7-3 and placed tenth in Dallas.

1. Ka Ulukoa M16 Mizuno


The skinny: Hawaii team won 16 Open at Junior Nationals with a perfect 11-0 mark (22-0 in sets). Also won the Junior Boys’ Invitational title. Larry Tuileta was named tournament MVP. Keenan Meyer, Evan Enriques, and Micah Maa were all-tournament picks.

2. Balboa Bay 16 Hurley


The skinny: Only loss at Junior Nationals was to Ka Ulukoa in the tournament final. Also won the Junior Boys’ Classic and took third at the Holiday Classic. Eric Matheis, Benjamin Oxnard, and Brenden Sander earned all-tournament accolades.

3. Manhattan Beach Surf


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals (8-1 mark). Also won the Boys’ Holiday Classic and took second at the Boys’ Junior Classic. Jacob Tuioti-Mariner was an all-tournament selection.

4. Shorebreak 16 Quiksilver


The skinny: Finished fourth at Junior Nationals in Dallas and also tied for third at the Junior Boys’ Invitational. Andrew Freiha and Kendall Ratter were all-tournament selections.

5. SCVC 16 Quiksilver


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals (6-3 record). Also tied for third at the Junior Boys’ Classic and the Junior Boys’ Invitational. Vincent Pizzuti was named all-tournament.

6. Sports Performance 16 Mizuno


The skinny: Suburban Chicago squad tied for fifth at Junior Nationals. Also won the Gateway tournament and placed second at the Wisconsin Boys’ Festival. Michael Simmons was named to the all-tournament team.

7. NSMVC 16 Jim


The skinny: Tied for fifth at Junior Nationals and also placed third at the Gateway bid tournament. Joe Coplan was tabbed an all-tournament selection.

8. MVVC Red 16-1


The skinny: Far Westerns champions placed thirteenth at Junior Nationals (despite a 9-2 mark).

9. Pace Bootlegger 16-1


The skinny: Placed tenth at Junior Nationals and also won the Rochester Can-Am tournament, while placing second at the East Coast championships, the Great Lakes tournament, and Florida Fest.

10. Ultimate 16 Gold


The skinny: Took eleventh at Junior Nationals. Won the Great Lakes tournament and the Wisconsin Boys’ Festival.

1. HBC 15 Adam


The skinny: Went 10-1 en route to the 15 Open title at Junior Nationals. Joshua Tuaniga was named tournament MVP, while Kimball Leitualoa and Ben Vaught were all-tournament selections. Team also won the Junior Boys’ Classic.

2. Coastal Mizuno 15


The skinny: Coastal finished second in 15 Open at Junior Nationals. Squad also won the Northeastern tournament, East Coast tournament, and the Can-Am bid tournament. Seth Blevins, Russell Dervay, and Brett Rosenmeier were all-tournament picks at Junior Nationals.

3. West Allis Lightning 15s


The skinny: Finished 8-5 and took fourth at Junior Nationals. Team also won the Wisconsin Boys’ Festival and the Great Lakes bid tournament. Mark Heinen and Daniel Brozynski were all-tournament selections in Dallas.

4. SMBC 15 Black


The skinny: Ended up fifth at Junior Nationals (9-2 overall record). Tied for third at the Junior Boys’ Invitational. Matt Douglass was an all-tournament pick at Junior Nationals.

5. Balboa Bay 15 Hurley


The skinny: Won the Junior Boys’ Invitational and finished sixth at Junior Nationals in Dallas. Matt Ctvrtlik was an all-tournament pick at Junior Nationals. Balboa Bay also finished second at the Junior Boys’ Classic.

6. Bay to Bay Black 15-1


The skinny: Finished tied for seventh at Junior Nationals and won the Far Westerns bid tournament. Austin Coon was an all-tournament pick.

7. SCVC 15 Quiksilver


The skinny: Finished ninth at Junior Nationals and tied for fifth at the Junior Boys’ Invitational.

8. Shorebreak 15 Quiksilver


The skinny: Finished in thirteenth place at Junior Nationals and tied for third at the Junior Boys’ Invitational.

9. Bones 15


The skinny: Ended up in tenth place at Junior Nationals. Went 7-4 overall in Dallas.

10. Pace Bootlegger 151


The skinny: Tied for seventh at Junior Nationals, but finished second at Great Lakes, second at Northeastern, and third at Can-Am. Dane LeClair was an all-tournament pick at Junior Nationals.
