Whether you’re running around your neighborhood, lifting weights at the gym, or doing plyometrics on the beach, music probably accompanies your workout. That’s because music has a way of affecting our emotions. The right workout mix can help you get the most out of your exercises and enjoy the time you spend doing them. Some people choose workout songs based on the lyrics and others because of the driving beat. Your mix doesn’t have to include “Eye of the Tiger” or “Welcome to the Jungle” (unless that works for you) but it should consist of songs that personally motivate you. Here are some tracks you can test out during your next workout.

Kanye West
“Black Skinhead”

“I’mma Try It Out”

Watch The Duck
“Poppin’ Off”

Just Blaze & Baauer

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
“Can’t Hold Us”

Jay-Z & Kanye West
“Gotta Have It”

“Wake Me Up”

Imagine Dragons

Lindsey Stirling

The Black Keys
“Little Black Submarines”
