The remainder of the camp will be spent combining all positions to play wash drills (4v4, 5v5 and 6v6). All campers will receive training on various serving techniques. Campers will be grouped according to age and experience.

YOUTH CAMP – July 20 (Grades 4-6, girls) – designed to teach and demonstrate to younger players how to play the game. We want campers to learn the basic individual skills while having fun! McCutcheon volleyball camps are the collaborative effort of top coaches, current collegiate players, and trainers to provide an educational experience for developing volleyball athletes to LEARN, REFINE, and IMPLEMENT specific techniques, skills and strategies. The goal of our camp is to make the athletes and teams that attend better at playing the game. To achieve this, our camp program will be based in sound teaching philosophy where the instructors explain and demonstrate the task at hand and give continuous feedback to the athletes until they achieve the desired level of execution. The concepts of learning and applying will always be at the core of what we do in camp.

Coaches will teach players how to perform skills while also explaining the guiding principles behind the technical instruction. Each session will incorporate volleyball skill instruction as well as competitive drills. All drills and competitive sessions are designed to give the athletes as many opportunities to contact the ball as possible.

The expectation is that participants arrive eager and prepared to respond to the challenges that come with improvement and growth.

McCutcheon volleyball camps are open to any and all participants.

Jason Williams comes to TCU after serving as associate head coach at Baylor for the past 7 seasons; a run which was highlighted by 3 consecutive sweet 16 appearances and a Final Four in 2019.

TCU Volleyball camps this summer will focus on the camper experience on and off the court. We will focus on the foundations of volleyball and progress to more advanced skillsets as appropriate to the camper’s level of learning. We believe that if you have strong foundations then you will unlock the opportunity to work on higher-level skills and drills. We will do our best to separate campers to increase the camp experience and are offering several camp options in both June and July to allow for busy and conflicting schedules. Camps will be run and coached mostly by TCU volleyball staff and players.

Sign up now to get access to the new and fun staff as well as the 2022 players. Come learn the foundations with us as well as get to know a little bit about what 2022 TCU Volleyball is going to be all about.
