Gotta catch a flight to go from one LA to the other. So a quick morning recap, all about NCAA women.
I hope you got to see our interview from Sunday with USC’s Samantha Bricio. She was a delight to interview.
It was also fun to to watch her top-ranked USC team, that was probably fortunate that the schedule had the Women of Troy at home this past weekend. They look a little tired and out of sync, but after winning in four on Friday against Arizona State and then four again Sunday against Arizona, they are 20-0. USC goes on the road the next weekends.
It was also a tough weekend for those Arizona schools, because they both got swept at UCLA.
A few other teams worth noting:
Florida won at Kentucky. Don’t be fooled by the Gators’ three-match losing sweep that is now something in their rear-view mirror. Here’s Florida’s recap of the victory.
Ohio State, ranked seventh, has now won seven in a row after beating Indiana on Sunday. Ohio State, Minnesota and Nebraska are atop the Big Ten at 7-1. Keep an eye on the Buckeyes and read about the match here.
No. 18 Florida State is now 8-0 in the ACC after beating N.C. State. Here’s the recap.
Also in the ACC, Louisville swept Duke and are also 8-0 in league play. Here’s the recap.
The two ACC unbeatens don’t play for a month, so it’a unlikely they’ll both be undefeated by then.
For everyone we missed, here are all (mostly) the scores at NCAA.com.
