The AVP announced today that it will partner with the FIVB to produce the St. Petersburg Grand Slam, June 15-21. The event marks the first time the international beach volleyball tour has stopped in St. Petersburg. The St. Pete Grand Slam joins events in Long Beach, California, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as one of three FIVB hosted in the U.S. this year.
NBC will broadcast six hours of the event live on its main network, NBC Sports Network, and online. Earlier this week, the AVP also announced that NBC will broadcast the finals of all of its tour stops this summer (read more about NBC’s partnership with the AVP).
