Just a quick hitter to get us through Sunday morning. I’ll have a weekend re-cap Monday and also will be doing a video chat with Tennessee coach Rob Patrick, whose Vols have had an excellent pre-conference season.
The weekend had a lot of good matches, but the two involving the state of Arizona teams were fabulous. No. 2 Texas won at No. 16 Arizona on Friday night in five, and then last night No. 10 Arizona State beat visiting No. 6 Illinois in five.
Today’s featured match is No. 18 Florida State at No. 5 Florida. Also, No. 24 Kentucky is at Louisville. Those are two fierce in-state rivalries in any sport, but especially good for college volleyball.
