We’ve got more links than a sausage factory coming your way.

Just finished watching the Penn State victory over Illinois just in time this Saturday morning before the next round of matches begin.

Speaking of which, Penn State is still my favorite to win it all, but if Illinois gets a good draw in the NCAA Tournament and a few good things happen along the way, the Illini have final-four potential.

Here’s the No. 3 Penn State side of things and here’s the No. 13 Illinois recap.

The match of the night might have been at Washington, where the No. 6 Huskies swept No. 5 and previously unbeaten Arizona State. What’s worse for the Sun Devils is that their best player, senior outside Macey Gardner, went down with an injury. From ASU’s story:

“After dropping the first set, the Sun Devils led in the second, 20-16, before senior outside hitter Macey Gardner left the match with a left leg injury. Gardner will be rested as a precaution for Sunday’s match at Washington State, and will be evaluated upon the team’s return to Tempe.”

Here’s the full ASU story. And here is the Washington recap.

Here’s the Pac-12 Network’s video recap of No. 1 USC’s victory over Colorado. USC and No. 10 Kansas are the only teams left unbeaten in NCAA Division I.

North Carolina won its fourth in a row win a sweep of Virginia. Here’s the story from the Carolina newspaper.

This and that …

This is an exceptionally well-done video story by Conference USA about something great happening with the Western Kentucky team. And on the court, WKU is now 18-2 overall and 5-0 in C-USA after beating UTSA on Friday …

The Atlantic Sun announced that Coastal Carolina has joined the conference in beach volleyball … Xavier junior Abbey Bessler has success on the court and battles anemia in doing so …  Kevin Wong has a big-time volleyball facility planned in Honolulu …The Daily Utah Chronicle did a nice feature on Utah coach Beth Launiere as she approaches victory No. 500 …

LSU coach Fran Flory coached her daughter, Lindsay, four years ago when Lindsay played for my Volleyball Baton Rouge 15s team. We never expected her to have that opportunity again, but Lindsay stunned us all by choosing to play at LSU, where’s she doing extremely well. The LSU Reveille had this feature on the Florys.

USA Juniors back to Minneapolis

Minneapolis, host city for the 2014 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships, gets the event again in 2017. It’s a great place for the event.

Another great place for the event is Indianapolis, which gets it next summer.

Here’s a story from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune and here is the story from USA Volleyball.
