For the second year in a row, Penn State star setter, three-time All-American, two-time national champion, and 2014 AVCA Player of the Year Micha Hancock is nominated for the Best Female College Athlete ESPY Award (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award). The ESPYS, hosted by ESPN, honor the best athletes and sports moments from the past calendar year.

Hancockwho put on another impressive showing on the way to securing her second national championship with her Penn State team in 2014, leading the nation in aces per set and setting her team to the best hitting percentage in the countrygoes up against Maryland lacrosse player Taylor Cummings, Cal swimmer Missy Franklin, Florida softball player Lauren Haeger, and UCONN basketball player Breanna Stewart for the 2015 Best Female College Athlete ESPY. The winner will be determined by fan voting.
