If youre active on Twitter and follow all your favorite players, youve probably noticed something recently. There’s a bit of a baby boom going on in the volleyball world.

Brook Billings, 2004 men’s indoor Olympic team member and former USC outside, married Brett Quirarte a year ago, and they recently welcomed their first child, Ford. Brett, who is 6’3″ (Brook is 6’5″), played middle for UC Santa Barbara and played on the AVP a couple times in 2010.

Destinee Hooker, the explosive right side hitter on the U.S. Women’s National Team, announced in the spring that she and her husband Steven Coulter were expecting. On her Facebook page she assured fans that she plans to come back strong after the baby is born to prepare for the 2016 Olympics.

Donald Suxho and wife Eleni (ne Gkortsaniouk) will welcome a baby boy later this year. Suxho set for the men’s national team in the 2012 Olympics, and Eleni is a Ukrainian volleyball player. The couple married in Ukraine in 2011.

Phil Dalhausser and Jennifer Corral recently welcomed a little boy into their family. Phil took some time off from his busy international beach volleyball competition schedule with new partner Sean Rosenthal, missing the Corrientes Grand Slam and The World Cup Final to be present for the birth of the couple’s first child. Welcome Little Dalhausser!

And of course, everyone knows that Kerri Walsh Jennings and Casey Jennings welcomed their third child in April. Scout Margery, named after the main character in To Kill a Mockingbird and Kerri’s mother, joins older brothers Joey and Sundance. Walsh-Jennings has made it clear that she plans to be back on the beach competing as soon as possible, and it is rumored that she will partner with April Ross next season. At press time, however, she had officially registered for the Long Beach Grand Slam with Whitney Pavlik.
