USA Volleyball will host the third round of the NORCECA qualification tournament for the 2014 FIVB World Championships. The qualification tournament will take place at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 15-18. The World Championships, a competition second only to the Olympics in its significance to international indoor volleyball, occurs once every four years with each of the five country zones hosting qualifiers leading up to the event, this year hosted by Poland on the men’s side and Italy on the women’s, Aug. 30-Sept. 21 and Sept. 23-Oct. 12, respectively.
At the third-round qualifier, the U.S. women will face Guatemala, Honduras, and Panama, while the men take on Guatemala, Haiti, and St. Lucia.
Tickets are available starting at $10/day at usavolleyball.org, and USAV will also be streaming the matches online.
